The Book Fair
DATE: Friday - Wednesday, December 2 - 7, 2012

The Book Fair is both a fundraiser and an opportunity for students to add new books to their own collections. Families can purchase books for the teachers as well as buy books for gifts on Family Night, Wednesday December 7th at 6pm.
Live/Silent Auction

Every other year, Bates holds a Live/Silent Auction fundraising event for parents. This event provides a chance for parents to step out and share a lively, social evening built around raising funds for our school. This year's theme is Wild About our Children's Future.
Innisbrook Wrapping Paper and Gift Fundraiser

Working with Innisbrook, the Bates PTO sells gift wrap, gourmet foods, distinctive gift items and magazines to raise money for our school (50% profit on all orders.) Out of town families and friends can participate on-line (www.innisbrook.com) using the Bates school number 102894.
Pumpkin Fair

The Bates Pumpkin Fair is known far and wide as the biggest and best fair around. Find your perfect pumpkin in our pumpkin patch, play games, have lunch, take a walk through the haunted house...if you dare!, buy fantastic baked goods & sweet treats and MORE!

Box Tops can be found on hundreds of products that we all use every day. Bates will earn $.10 for every Box Top redeemed. The Box Top collection container is located in the front hall of the school.
Shopping online can also earn money for Bates. Box Tops for Education has partnered with over 70 popular stores that donate a percentage (up to 8%) of your online purchases back to Bates. Register to become a Box Top member at www.boxtops4education.com and click on the Marketplace tab at the top of the page. Select Katharine Bates as your school and then click on the link to the retainer of your choice, including: Baby Gap, Gap and Gap Kids, Barnes and Noble, Oriental Trading, Land of Nod, Lands End, Leaps and Bounds, Pottery Barn & PB Kids, Staples, Best Buy, Home Depot, Target and more.

Below are some quick and easy options for accessing Amazon.com and earning rewards for Bates.
Choose the option that's best for you. You can choose any option from the list (you don't have to do all the options listed). By doing this, you can browse and shop the full Amazon catalog as usual, and Bates will receive a portion of the proceeds from everything you purchase.
All Users
You can create a shortcut on your desktop that will open your browser of choice and take you directly to Amazon.
After the page displays, drag the Amazon.com icon in the address bar to your desktop. (You may need to minimize your browser window to be able to see your desktop.)
If you prefer, you can rename the shortcut (for example, Bates at Amazon) by right-clicking the shortcut and selecting "Rename" from the menu.
Internet Explorer Users
(A). Add to Favorites
Right-click the Amazon.com "School Rewards" image above.
Select Add to Favorites... in the shortcut menu.
In the Add A Favorite window, name your favorite (for example, Bates at Amazon) and click Add.

(B). Add a button to your Links Toolbar
(if you don't see your Links Toolbar, you can enable it by going to View > Toolbars > Links)
After the page displays, click and drag the Amazon icon in the address bar down to your Links Toolbar and drop it in.- If you'd like to rename it, right-click the new button and select "Rename" from the menu.
- Rename the button (for example, Bates at Amazon) and click OK.

In the Page Bookmarked window, name your bookmark (for example, Bates at Amazon) and click Done.
